The kissing scenes in the film have resulted in a controversy with the censor board.
Mishra gives a damn to the board and says, “I am not bothered. If the censors think kissing is evil, I’ll ask them to get a reality check. We can’t manage with flowers quivering on screen. The audience will guffaw at us!”
Arunoday and Aditi play a young couple based out of Delhi, and have their fair share of quarrels and love. They kiss every time they quarrel. And they quarrel a lot.
In real life, Arunoday is the grandson of politician Arjun Singh and Aditi Rao is married to actor Satyadeep Mishra. She is the great grand daughter of Sir Akbar Hydari and the grand niece of Sir Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, former Governor of Assam.‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ marks the dance debut of the Sydney-born actress Emma Brown Garrett in the tinsel town. Emma plays Sunny Deol’s Canadian wife in “Yamla Pagla Deewana” which is set to release on Jan 14. It has been a commendable performance from Emma who took her steps right on the difficult bhangra beats matching it with Punjabi boys Sunny, Bobby and their father, Dharmendra, in the peppy title track of the movie. She has also gone for a blonde look from her brunette hairs for the role.
Talking about her experience in Bollywood, Emma says, “This is my first dance sequence and it was a great experience! Bollywood dancing seems very exciting, but I have realized it is very difficult and tough. Hats off to the choreographers and all Indian actresses for pulling off the steps so well and that too with perfectly coordinated expressions. It takes a lot of hard work.
My dance is a mixture of traditional and contemporary. The choreographers had a challenge not just with the song, which is a remix version of an old song, but also my limitations as a dancer. But they have done a wonderful job.”
Emma has already worked in the Bengali film “Shukno Lanka” with Mithun Chakraborty, and after “Yamla Pagla Deewana”, she will be seen as a Russian girl in Rohan Sippy’s “Dum Maro Dum”.
“I am glad that a ‘gori’ coming from abroad has been welcomed with open arms in such a huge industry. I have been lucky to have worked with fantastic actors like Mithunda, Dharmendra sir and Abhishek Bachchan already, and I definitely look forward to more masala films in India,” says the Australian beauty.Finally, Barjatya of Rajshree productions have got over with the obsession of the name ‘Prem’. Vivaan is the new chosen name for them. Debutant Akshay Oberoi in ‘Isi Life Men’ plays the role of Vivaan for Rajshree.
Well, there is no need to be disheartened about it, as according to Akshay, there is only one suitable man for the role of man and he is ‘Salman Khan’. “I have no qualms whatsoever if I am called Vivaan and not Prem in the film. I think the name ‘Prem’ is very iconic for Sooraj Barjatya and Salman bhai.”
The Salman Khan fan further added, “However if you ask me, this is one name that is reserved for him. As a Salman fan, I truly believe that he is the ultimate Prem.”
It is not only Salman who has been called Prem in Rajshree films. Barjatya has made exceptions to the rule. Hritik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’, Shahid Kapoor in ‘Vivah’ and Sonu Sood in ‘Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi’ have also been named Prem.
There is another change seen in the characterization. There are different shades to the character that the lead actor portrays in the film ‘Isi Life Mein’. “Yes, it’s an altogether different Prem that you would see in a Rajshri film this time around with ISI LIFE MEIN,” confirms Akshay.Producer Boney Kapoor may not have done anything for wife Sridevi’s relaunch into silver screen but he definitely has some big plans for his 24-year old son Arjun Kapoor’s launch which he plans in all probability by the next year.

Scripted by Dilip Shukla of Dabangg fame and directed by debutant director Praful Parekh, the film goes on floors in March. Nana Patekar will be seen in the role of a CBI officer in this suspense thriller about an insurance scam of 100 crores.
The producer of the film, C G Patel, confirmed the news saying, “Yes, we have signed Mallika and paid her the signing amount, but some formalities are yet to be finalised. Nana, who is a great friend, is also on board and is keenly supervising the project. We are still in talks with Naseerji.”
Patel also stressed on the fact that Mallika had absolutely no hesitations in signing a role which was in stark contrast to the roles she has played earlier. He said, “In fact she loved the script. She has a very powerful role and strong dialogue with Nana. People will be surprised to see her in the film.”
